Regulations

1. Up to 15 competition spots will be allowed

2. All competitors must enter all 3 categories

3. Entry fee is $125, and must be paid in full to enter contest, Registration must be filled out and returned with registration time period

4. Judging will be done by a team of 5 and turn in container must have 5 piece of meat for judging per category

5. Judges can not talk with or enter grill site until judging has ended

6. All meats must be checked by a committee judge before being cooked

7. Under cooked chicken can not be fully judge, but will not disqualify your turn in

8. If it is a tie, taste scores will determine winner. If still a tie, appearance scores will determine winner

Rules

1. NO MARINATING, all meats must come in sealed packaging and opened on site

2. All meats must be kept in a cooler under ice until prep and cook time

3. All cook sites must have warm water, for cleaning and sanitation, with a catch all bucket

4. No gas or electric grilling. Only wood or charcoal is allowed

5. Grill site must be cleaned and sanitized on a regular schedule. Dirty site can cause a penalty or disqualification

6. No selling or sampling to public is allowed

7. Disorderly conduct at cooking site are grounds for disqualification

8. All meats must be turned in to judging Committee within designated time period. Entries who miss deadline will not be accepted.

9. No building fires on ground

Times schedule for competition day

1. Set up times starts

· 5:00 am

2. Meat check in times for all Categories

· 5:30 am

3. Turn in times for judging

· Chicken at 5:00 pm

· Ribs at 6:00 pm

· Brisket at 7:00 pm

4. Awards Callout

· 8:45 pm

Points System

Most points wins

· 0- Inedible

· 1- Very Bad

· 2- Not Good

· 3- Alright

· 4- Good

· 5- Great
